The lotion is kind of sticky and doesn’t seem to blend into your skin very easily. I won’t buy it again. I wanted the shimmer it is supposed to give, but other lotion I have does that without feeling like liquid glue.

“Parben-free, phthalate free…” I’m not sure what that means, but ‘natural’ I understand. Radiance Body Lotion with Royal Jelly – 6 fl oz., (Burt s Bee) is a wonderful product for a lightweight, semi-sparkly, natural facial moisturizer. A slight bit of grittiness (mica) is the part that takes some getting used to, but it isn’t overly rough and leaves a very faint sparkle to your skin. There is no tint to this product. Great alone or under make-up, I like to use it exclusively as a facial moisturizer.
The consistency of this product is my only qualm. It is very thin, almost runny. While it works as an all over body lotion, I prefer something with a bit more thickness and perhaps some shea butter versus royal jelly. The sunflower seed oil and royal jelly work well for my face and neck, and the scent is light and pleasant.
A little goes a long way with this product and it seems to moisturize all day long.

For as expensive as this lotion is–about $10 per bottle–it doesn’t do a very good job of moisturizing. Instead, my hands are left feeling oily. Ten minutes after application, the oilyness wears off and my hands are still cracked and dry. The smell of the lotion, too, is very sharp and pungent.
I’d recommend ShiKai lotions which are similarly natural, but cost about half the price. ShiKai products actually moisturize too, requiring only a fraction the amount of product to do the job.

I’ll be buying this again – that’s for sure.
I first bought it because I’d tried their Radience Day Creme and adored what it did for my face. Their radiance line must be good. But I was a bit surprised (and scared at first!) to find that this lotion has a shimmer. Normally that’s a huge turnoff for me — shimmery lotions often look so fake, cheap, and unflattering on people. The only way shimmer should be used is if it’s not even noticeable… just enough to give a healthy glisten. Thankfully, this lotion does just that. The shimmer comes from natural mica, so I’m not at all worried (…I’m crazy for organic health). The Royal Jelly in their Radiance line is AMAZING, and is included in this lotion. I swear, that Royal Jelly is magic. My skin drinks it up.
It DOES have a somewhat strong smell; not unpleasant at all, but I know many people are opposed to slathering themselves up with smelly stuff in general. The smell also fades to become much more mild in a very short time (hardly noticeable). I also would NOT recommend this for use on your face, even though the bottle does. Personally, the shimmer is just a little too much for the face.
The consistency is a bit runny – and I like that! It’s a step up from all the usual thick creams and body butters with aloe. How boring they are. And one of my biggest pet peeves is having to stand there, working with a thick lotion as it does nothing but turn whiter and whiter under my hand. Luckily, I’m spared of that with this one. Absorbs right in.
I highly recommend this lotion, as well as Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Creme.

We all have trouble with dry skin and have tried a gzillion different lotions – this is one of our favorites. It really helps my dry hands and smells good enough to eat.
